CVWD Adopts Water Use Efficiency Ordinance
On May 12, 2009 the CVWD Board of Directors adopted a Water Use Efficiency Ordinance establishing specific "best management" practices for customers to follow to conserve water. The Ordinance identifies actions customers can implement in their everyday lives to reduce their overall water use. A second Ordinance will be considered in late June which would allow the CVWD to enact more serious levels of water conservation if local drought conditions become more severe or during an emergency situation as a result of a natural disaster.
